Trasiego Wines
CEO & WINEMAKER
Vicente is an agronomist with a specialization in Enology. With more than 20 years of experience in the wine industry, as winemaker and production manager of important wineries in Chile, especially in the Casablanca valley where he is recognized for his expertise in cool climate wines.
After 3 years living in California studying an MBA and knowing in detail the North American market, he returned to Chile soaked in this sustainable culture and decided to found together with his wife Trasiego Wines, in order to show the world a new face of Chilean wine and at the same time being able to give small producers better opportunities.
For Vicente, winemaking is more than a job, and this is demonstrated daily in the passion with which he advises small producers, walks through valleys, makes each mix and enjoys each of his wines.
Vicente was born in the first days of March, when the grape harvest normally begins in Chile, and Saint Vincent is the patron of winegrowers … coincidence? Probably … but for him everything makes sense and is part of a divine plan.
MARKETING MANAGER
Bernardita studied Business Administration and has an extensive experience in Marketing & Trade Marketing. More than 9 years working in a leading mass consumption multinational in charge of important categories.
Her family has a winery, and she is married to a winemaker, so while living in California, she decided to discover this new world of wine. She studied a Certificate of Wine Specialist at the San Francisco Wine School, also complementing it with a Certificate in Marketing at UC Berkeley.
At Trasiego Wines, she is the Marketing and Administration Manager. From creating labels and product development, financial statements and delivering boxes when necessary.
“Vicente convinced me to be part of this project, promising me more than 3 weeks a year of vacations (the legal in Chile). Definitely he has not kept his word, but at least I have an immense flexibility of time to share with my children and above all the satisfaction of being able to create your own products, participating in every detail and acquiring in-depth knowledge of each link in the production chain, which is a privilege and a priceless school”.
