The central valley of Chile allows us to look for a combination of vineyards to produce an expensive and elegant Chardonnay. We combine vineyards from cooler areas, which we find getting closer to the Coastal Range with som from warmer areas, that we find moving towards the valley.
Cooler vineyards provide grapes with great freshness and natural acidity, warmer vineyards provide grapes with more richness, toasted notes, and ampler in the mouth.
We work hands-on with these local growers and crafted in this wine to express the natural beauty of this region and bring an emblematic Chardonnay from South America for customers who seek exceptional wines with character and identity.
PHILOSOPHY AND WINEMAKING
Our philosophy behind the winemaking is to keep the crafter profile of the wine, in order to save the character of each component, representing its origin and variety in the best possible way. The grapes are handpicked early in the morning by the local farmers and their families.
The winemaking process is simple and with minimum intervention. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a low controlled temperature. After fermentation, there is careful work for 3 months keeping the wine in contact with its fine lees to add texture and complexity. A small proportion of the wine is aged in selected natural French oak for up to 6 months. All this process allows us to create a crafted but polished Chardonnay, with great character and freshness.
